7 COOKTOP USE Contr ol Knob s The control knob s can be se t anywhe r e between HI and LO. P ush in and turn to setting. The surface cooking area locator shows which ele ment is tur ned on. Use the foll owing chart as a guide when se tting heat l evels.
8 Home Cannin g When canni n g for long p eriods, alter nate the use of surface cooking areas, element s or surface burner s between batches. This allows time for the surrou nding areas to cool. ■ Center the can ner on the grate or largest surface cooki ng area or element.
9 O V EN USE Electr onic Cloc k/Timer (on some models) Display When pow er is first suppl i ed to t he appliance, everything on th e displa y will lig ht up for 5 seco nds. Then, th e time of day an d “PF” will appear on the d i splay . Any other time “PF” appears, a power failure occurred.
