4 Option s Pedestal Are you placing th e dryer on a pedesta l? Y ou have the opt ion of purchasi ng pedestal s of different height s separat ely for thi s dryer . Y ou may select a 10" (25.4 cm) or 15 .5" (39.4 c m) pede stal. These pede stals will add to the tot al height of the dryer f or a total height of appr oximately 48" (1 21.
5 ■ A level fl oor with a maximum slope of 1 " (2.5 cm) under ent ire dryer . If slope is greater than 1" (2.5 cm), instal l Extend ed Dryer Feet Kit, Part Numb er 279810. Clothes may no t tumb le properly and automati c sensor cycles may not operate correctly if dryer is not le vel.
6 Recomme nded installa tion spacing for ca binet installation ■ For cabinet in stallation, wit h a door , minimum ventil ation openings in the top of th e cabinet are required. * Required spaci ng ** For side or bottom ven ting, 2" (5 .1 cm) spa cing is al lowed.
7 Electrical Require ments It is your responsibility ■ T o contact a qual ified elec trical inst aller . ■ T o be sure that th e electrical connection is adequate an d in conformance with the National Elect rical Code, ANS I/NFP A 70-latest edition an d all local codes and ordinances.
8 Electrica l Connect ion 1. Discon nect powe r . 2. Remo ve th e hol d-do wn scr ew and te rmin al bl ock c over . 3. Install stra in r elief. Style 1: Power supply cor d strain relief ■ Remove the sc r ews from a ³⁄₄ " (1.9 cm) UL lis ted st rain relief (UL marking on st rain relief).
9 ■ Put po wer sup ply cor d thr ough the strai n r elief . Be su re that th e wire insula tion on the p ower supply cord is insid e the strai n r elief. Th e strain relief shou ld have a tight fi t with the dryer cab inet and be in a h orizontal posi tion.
10 1. Remove center silver -colored termin al block screw . 2. Remov e neut ral ground wi re from ext ern al ground cond uctor screw . Co nnect neut ral ground wi re and the n eutra l wire (white or c enter wir e) of powe r supply cor d under center , silver -colored terminal block screw .
11 3. Connect gr ound wi re (gr een or b are ) of dir ect wir e ca ble to external ground conductor s crew . Tighten scr ew . 4. Place the hooked ends of the other di r ect wire cable wi res under the outer termi nal block scr ews (hooks facing right).
12 When connect ing to the termin al block, place the h ooked end of the wire under the screw of the terminal block (hook facing right), squeeze hooked end together an d tighten sc rew , as shown . 1. Loosen or re move center silver -colored terminal block scr ew .

16 Con ne ct Inl et H ose The dryer must be con nected to the col d water faucet usin g the new i nlet hoses . Do not use o ld hos es. 1. T ur n cold water faucet off and remove washer inlet hose. 2. Remove old rub ber washer from inlet ho se and replace with new rubber wash er provided.
17 12. If you l ive in a hard water area, use of a water soften er is recommended to control the buildup of s cale through th e water sys tem in the d ryer . Over time, the buildup of lime scal e may clog different parts of the water system, which will reduce product performance.
18 T o use an Automatic Cycle NOTE : A light next t o each feature will glow gr een when the feature is selecte d or will glow amber whe n the feature is selectab le. The light w ill not glow when the sel ection is unavailab le with the cycl e or option combinatio ns selected.

21 Air Only Use the Ti med Dr y/Air O nly set ting f or ite ms tha t r equir e drying without hea t such as rubb er , plast ic and heat-s ensitive fabrics. This chart show s examples of it ems that can be dried using Air Only . *Reset time to compl ete drying, if n eeded.
22 Cycle Signal The End of Cycle Signal produces an a udible soun d when t he drying cyc le is finished . Promptly removing clothes at the end of the cycl e r educes wr inkling. Press CYCLE SIGN AL until the desired volu me (Loud, Soft or Off) glows green.
23 4. Close the door . 5. Selec t Timed Dry and de sired temperatu re (see following chart). It ems containing foam, ru bber , or plas tic must b e dried on a clotheslin e or by using the Ai r Only temperatu re setting. NOTE : Do not use au tomatic cycl es with the dryin g rack.
