Before setting a control knob, place fille d cookware on the grate. Do not operat e a bur ner using empty cookware or w ithout cookware on the grate.
7 Surf ace Bur ners IMPORT AN T : Do not obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilat ion air around the bur ner grate edges. Burner cap: Always keep the bur ner cap in place wh en using a surface bur ner . A clean bur ner cap will help pr even t poor ignition and uneven flames.

10 T o Broil: 1. Open the br oiler door and roll out the broiler pan and grid . 2. Place the broiler pa n and grid so grease can drain d own into the lower part of the broi ler pan. 3. Place food on broiler pan. Then pl ace the pan on the broiler rack and close th e broiler door .
