5 Rang e COOKTOP USE Cooktop Controls Electric ign iters au tomatically light the su rface bur ners when control knobs are turned t o IGNITE. Before setting a control knob, p lace filled cookw ar e on the grat e. Do not operate a bur ner using empty cookware or while the grate is unoccupi ed.

9 OVEN USE Odors and smoke are normal when the oven is u sed the first few times, or when it is heavi ly soiled . IMPORT AN T : The health of some birds is extremely sensi tive to the f umes given off. Expo sur e to t he fume s may r esult in death to certain birds.
10 Bakewa re The bakeware mat erial affects cooking r esults. Follow manufact urer ’ s recommendations and use the b akeware size recommended in the recipe. Use the following ch art as a guide. Meat Ther mome t er On models wit hout a temperatu re probe, use a meat thermometer to determine donenes s of meat, poultry and fish.
11 Choice Bake ® Func tion (on some models ) The CHOICE BAKE ® function reduce s top heat in t he oven durin g cooking. It is i deal w hen baki ng pies , breads a nd cass eroles and when roasting meat and pou ltry . During tradi tional baking an d roasting, the bake an d broil elements or bur ners cyc le on and off at intervals.
12 When the cook ti me ends or the last s tep of the sequ ence is complete , the dis p lay wi ll show a warming c ountdown t i me. When wa rming ends, the ov en will au tomatical ly shut o ff and “ End ” will app ear on t he display . Four to nes wi ll soun d, and then four 1- second remi nder tones will sound every m inute ther eafter .
13 Sequence Progr amming (o n some mod els) Sequence Programming all ows you to pr ogram at one time up to 4 cooking functions. Other oven functions, such as the Timer a nd W a rming Drawer may be used when a sequenced Program is running. All steps of a sequenced program must be programmed with a stop ti me.
14 Food must be at serving temperature b efore being placed in the warming drawer . Breads, pastries , and fruit p ies may be heate d from r oom temperat ure on th e HI setting. Remove food from plastic bags and pl ace in ov en-safe cont ainer . Cover foods with a lid or aluminum foil.

17 Ove n Light (o n some mod els) The oven light is a standard 40-wa tt appliance bu lb. It wil l come on when the oven door is open. It w ill not work during the Self- Cleaning cycle (on some models). On some models, when the oven door is closed, pres s OVEN LIGHT to tu r n it on or off.
