6 COOKTOP USE Cooktop C ontrols Electric ign iters au tomatical ly light the su rface bur ners wh en control knobs are turned t o IGNITE. Before setting a control knob, p lace filled cookw ar e on th e grate. Do not operate a bur ner using empty cookware or while the grate is unoccupi ed.
7 Burner cap: Always keep the bur ner cap in pl ace when using a surface bu rner . A clean bu rner cap w ill help a void poor ignition and uneven flames. Al ways cle an the bur ner cap after a s pillove r and routinely remove and clean the caps according to the “ General Cleani ng ” sectio n.

11 Meat Ther mo met er On models wit hout a temperatu re probe, use a meat thermometer to determine donenes s of meat, poultry and fish. The inter nal tempera ture, not appearance, should be used to determine doneness. A meat thermometer is not suppli ed with this ap pliance .
