Changing a cycle setting You can change a cycle setting anytime during any cycle. 1. Press the CANCEL pad. The dishwasher will go into a 2-minute drain cycle. 2. Be sure the detergent dispensers are filled properly for the new cycle. 3. Select a new cycle and options.
Operating Instructions Continued 3. Press the DELAY/PAUSE pad again to select a 1 hour delay. Pressing the pad again adds another hour of delay to the drgital display. NOTE: After “9 delay hours” is selected, pressing the DELAY/PAUSE pad again will display the last selected cycle and options.
Control panel lock-out feature A hidden pad is located in the center of the control pads. This pad lets you lock-out the function of all the control pads except the Cancel pad. When the control panel is locked-out, the dishwasher cannot be started and a running cycle cannot be changed.
Operating Instructions Continued The beeping sound l Each time a control pad is pressed, a single “beep” sound IS made. l A double beep means the wrong control pad has been pressed. l Three beeps sound at the begrnnrng of the drying part of a cycle.

Operating Instructions Continued The PAUSE HEAT indicator The “PAUSE HEAT” indicator and current water temperature will show on the display if the dish- washer needs additional time to heat water in the main wash.
During a cycle, the “HEATING” indicator shows when the water in the dishwasher is being heated. In the Pots 8 Pans Cycle or any cycle using the Hi-Temp Option, the “HEATING” indicator and water temperature will be displayed several times if the water needs additional time to be heated.
Operating Instructions Continued What happens in each cycle Pots & Pans Cycle A double wash with maximum cleaning for cooked-on or baked-on foods. Cycle time’ is about 73 minutes plus the time needed while the timer delays to heat the water (marked t) to 140°F (60°C) in both washes and the last rinse.
Normal Cycle Low Energy Cycle A single wash for normal, everyday soiled loads. (The Energy Guide Label is based on this cycle.) Cycle time* is about 66 minutes plus the time needed while the timer delays to heat the water to 140°F (60%) in the wash (marked 7) and, if the Hi-Temp Option is selected, in the last rinse (marked tt).

The heating element cycles on and off during the “dry” part of the cycle when the Heat Dry Option is selected. Cycle time* is about 59 minutes. What happens in each option Options can be selected by pressing the OPTIONS pad. Each press of the pad advances the selection to the next option. You can select Heat Dry, Heat Dry and Hi-Temp, Air Dry, or Air Dry and Hi-Temp. For example, if AIR DRY shows on the display and you want to select the Heat Dry Option, press the OPTIONS pad twice.
