6 Electrical Require ments It is your responsibility ■ T o contact a qu alified e lectrical inst aller . ■ T o be sure that t he electrical connection is adequa te and in conformance with the National Elect rical Code, ANS I/NFP A 70-latest edition an d all local codes and ordinances.

8 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Electrica l Connect ion Power Supp ly Cord Di re c t W i re 1. Discon nect power . 2. Remove the terminal block cover . 3. Unscr ew the strain r elief fr om the te rminal blo ck cover . 4. Unscr ew the strain reli ef nut from t he stra in re lief.
9 6. Replace st rain relief (with powe r cord inserted) back into the termina l block cover . Do not tigh ten strai n r elief nu t. 7. Now comp lete install ation follo wing instru ctions for your t y.
10 When connect ing to the termin al block, place the h ooked end of the wire under the screw of the terminal block (hook facing right), squeeze hooked end together an d tighte n screw . Se e example below . 1. Loca te the neutr al ground wire in side the drye r cabi net, behind th e exter nal ground cond uctor screw .
11 1. Loosen or r emove center terminal block sc rew . 2. Place t he hooked end of the neu tral wire (white or center w ire) of power supply cable under t he center screw of terminal block (hook facing right). Squeeze hooked end together . Tighten scr ew .
12 Determine vent pa th ■ Selec t the route that will provide t he straightest and most direct pat h outdoors. ■ Plan the i nstallation to use the few est number of elbows and tur ns. ■ When usin g elbows or making tu rns, al low as much room as possib le.
13 Level Dryer Chec k the lev elnes s of the dryer . Ch eck leve lness first side to side , then f ron t to bac k. If the dryer is not level, prop up the dryer using a wood block. Use a wrench to adjust the legs up or down an d check again for leveln ess.
14 DRYER USE Start ing Y our Dryer WAR N IN G: T o redu ce the risk of fi re, elec tric shock, or injury to persons, read the IMPOR T A NT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS before ope ratin g this applia nce. Before using your dryer , wi pe the dry er drum wit h a damp cloth to rem ove dust from storing and shipping.
