10 Using the F aucet Y ou can draw water from the faucet while the dish washer is connecte d. NOTE : Do not draw water wh ile the dishwas her is fillin g or while water is being pumped out. 12 DISHW ASHER USE Det ergent Dispen ser The det ergent dispenser has 2 sec tions. T he Pre-W ash section empties de tergent into the dishwash er when you close t he door . The Main Wash section aut omaticall y empties d etergent into the dishw asher du ring t he main wash.
13 Or you can remove the Fill Indi cator cap. If an “ E ” is visi ble, th e dispen ser is empt y . Filling the dispenser The rinse aid dispense r holds 6 oz (175 mL) of rinse aid. Un der normal c onditions , this will last for abou t thre e months.
14 Canceling a Cycle Y ou can cancel a cycle at any time. 1. T urn the Cycl e Control knob slowly clockwise unt il you hear water drai ning. Let the dishwash er drain complet ely .
15 Air Dry Select this ener gy-saving option to dry without heat. Air drying is useful when loads conta in plasti c dinnerware that may be sensit ive to high te mperatures. The dishes take lon ger to dry and s ome spotting can occur . For best dryi ng, use a liquid rinse aid.
16 DISHWASHER CARE Clean ing Cleaning the exterior In most cases, regular use of a soft, damp cloth or sponge and a mild de tergent is al l that is ne cessary t o keep the outs ide of y our dishwash er looking nice and cl ean.
17 Drain Air Gap Check the drain air gap anytime y our dishwas her isn ’ t d raining well. Some state or loc al plumbing codes require the additi on of a drain air gap bet ween a built-in dishwasher an d the home drai n system. If a drain is clogged, the drain air gap prot ects your dishwasher fr om water b acking up into it.
18 Did you use the correct a mount of fresh detergent? Use recommended dishwasher det er gents only . Refer to the “ Detergent Dispen ser ” sec tion. Neve r use less t han 1 tb (1 5 g) per load. Det ergent must be fresh to be effective. St ore detergent in a cool, dry area.
