10 Usin g the F aucet Y ou can draw water from the faucet while the dish washer is connecte d. NOTE : Do not draw water wh ile the dishwa sher is fil ling or while water is being pump ed out. (Thi s helps p rev ent a low fil l when dishwashe r is filling or mi xing drai n water with fr esh wat er when dishwas her is dra ining.

13 Rin se Ai d D ispe ns er Rinse aids prevent water from forming d roplets th at can dry as spot s or st rea ks. The y also impr ove d rying by allow ing wa ter to drain off of the dishes d uring the final rinse by releasin g a small amount of the rin se aid in to the rinse wat er .
14 Cycl e Sel ecti on Cha rts For Series 8 10 and 811: T urn the cycl e control knob to th e desired cycle . If the door is latched , you will hear the cy cles start and stop as the cycle control knob pass es each cycle mark. Thi s is normal and doe s not hurt the di shwasher .
15 Optio n Select ions Y ou can change an option an ytime before the se lected opt ion begins. For example, y ou can pr e ss an unheated drying opt ion any tim e before dryi ng beg ins. No Heat Dry Select this ener gy-saving option to dry without heat.
16 DISHWASHER CARE Cleani ng Cleaning the exterior In most cases, regular use of a soft, damp cloth or sponge and a mild de tergent is al l that is ne cessary t o keep the outs ide of your dishwash er looking nice and cl ean. If y our dishwas her has a stainles s steel exteri or , a stainless steel cl eaner is recommended.
17 Dra in Air Gap Check the drain air gap anytime y our dishwas her isn’t draining well. Some state or loc al plumbing codes require the additi on of a drain air gap bet ween a built-in dishwasher an d the home drai n system. If a drain is clogged, the drain air gap prot ects your dishwasher fr om wate r backing up into it.
18 Did you use the correct a mount of fresh detergent? Use recommended dishwasher det er gents onl y . Refer to the “Detergent Dispenser” se ction. Do not use less than 1 tb (15 g) p er load . Dete r gent must be fre sh to be ef fect ive. Stor e detergent in a cool, dry area.
