4 CLEANING THE LCD MONITOR • MAKE SURE THE LCD MONITOR IS TURNED OFF • NEVER SPRAY OR POUR ANY LIQUID DI RECTLY ONTO THE SCREEN OR CASE To clean the screen: 1. Wipe the screen with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth. This removes dust and ot her particles.

6 INSTALLATION Congratulations on your pu rchase of a Westinghouse widescreen LCD Monitor. Sleek and practical, this lightweight LCD monitor delivers a b right and clear display optimized for hig h display resolution from your PC or notebook computer.
7 Control Panel Buttons Use the control buttons in the front of the LCD Monitor to display the On Screen Display (OSD) menu. Belo w is a list of the control button functions. The OSD co ntrols are defined in “OSD Functions” on pa ge 8. 1. ▲ • Scroll up the OSD sub-menu list when the OSD is displayed.
8 OSD Menu Functions All the function settings for this LCD mon itor are controll ed via the control keys located on the side of the monitor . T o display the OSD main menu, press the keypad button on the control panel. (Note: The OSD menu display will disappear automatica lly after approximately 10 seconds, if no action is taken.
9 Quick Adjustments Y ou can skip the Menu pages and display an adjustment scale di rectly by using the following button operatio ns: • Brightness: Press the X Brightness button when the Menu is not displayed. • Contrast: Press the W Contrast button when the Menu is not displayed.
10 Display Modes The monitor backlighting can be controlled by usin g the ▲ key on the control keypad. There are 3 mo des: Economy, Text, and Picture. To toggl e between these modes, pre ss the ▲ key until the mode you desire i s selected. These modes aut omatically change the backli ghting level s between bright, brighter, and brightest.
11 Troubleshooting No Power • Make sure the AC cord is plugg ed into the back of the LCD monitor. • Make sure the AC power cord i s securely conne cted to an AC outlet. • Plug another electrical device (li ke a radio) to the po wer outlet to verify that the outlet is supplying the proper voltage.
12 Image Is Not Centered (size is not scaled correctly) • Perform Auto Adjust. • Adjust the horizontal and/o r vertical position using the OSD. • Check image size setting. Colors Are Incorrect • Make sure the video cable is se curely connected to both the monit or and PC or Notebook.
