5 6. When plugged in, press the s witch lever down. A red “COOK” light will glo w indicating the rice cooker is on. See the cook ing chart for approximate cook ing times for different amounts of rice. Brown rice will take longer to cook than white rice, which is normal.

Before placing the rice cookin g pot into the heating base, make sure the heatin g plate in the base and outside of the rice bo wl are clean and dry.
7 C OOKING T IPS • If rice is not completely c ooked, allow to stand covere d for 10 to 15 minutes to finish cooking. • Use only water to cook the rice. Other liquids can create a boil over. • Doneness of the rice can vary depen ding on quality and t ype.
