2 FRYING GUIDELINES : Before using deep fryer, carefully review the following guidelines for safe use: WARNING: To prevent severe person al injury or property dam age, use caution when cooking with hot oil. • Always use f ryer on a stable, dry and level heat-resistant surface, away from any edge.
3 2. With basket removed, fill fryer base with vegetable oil to the M AX fill line, about 11 cups. See Diagram 2. Do not fill fryer with oil beyond the MAX oil level line to prevent boil-over wh en food is added. Do not operate fry er without oil, as dam age to fryer will occur.

Remove C over and Bask et Open cover 90 º and lift to remove from base.
5 To replace charcoal filter, push in release clip on filter cover. Lif t charcoal filter out and discard. Wipe recess area clea n with a damp soapy cloth, wipe clean and dry. Wash filter cover in hot soapy water, rinse and dry. Place new charcoal filter into recess with thin filter sheet do wn first.
6 4. Lift basket to drain position. Set te mperature control to 375ºF. When temperature light goes out, slo wly lower basket. C ontinue to cook 8 to 10 m inutes to brown an d crisp fries. 5. When fries are done, lift basket to drain position to allo w ex cess oil to d rain off.
