2 1. Quick Inst allation Guide 1.1 Windows ME / Windows 2000/ Windows XP Inst allation Do not install driv e rs for Windows ME, Win2000 or Win XP ope rating systems.
3 Once installed, double click “My Computer” on the desktop. Y ou will see a “Remov able Disk” drive icon, which represents t he USB Flash Drive. Y ou may now store, copy and de lete files on the Flash Drive th e same way you would with a hard or floppy disk drive.
4 1. Double click “Unplug or Eject Hardware” ico n on the bottom right of the scr een. 2. Click “S top” in the Unplug or Eject Hardware window .
5 3. Select “USB Mass S torage Device” and click “OK”. 4. Click “Ok” and remove USB Flash Dr ive..
6 2. Additional Features 2.1 Write/Delete Switch On the side of the USB Fla sh Drive is a small dipswitch, which allows you to protect data from accidental erasure. Use a small paper clip or similar ob ject to slide the switch fr om the left (unlocked) position to the right ( locked) position.
7 Select “Quick” for T ype of Format and “En able Password Feature.” Select “St art.” Click “Ok” to run the password utility.
8 When formatting is complete, click "OK" to comp lete media format function. Y our default password will be 1 1 1 1 unless you change the password. Then, Select “Cancel” to close the dialog box. Y our USB Flash drive is now password protected.
9 Enter yo ur password (if default 1 1 1 1) and the drive w ill open and dis play any document s saved. 2.4 Changing Y our Password: Insert your drive into the USB port. Double Click on th e “Passid” icon on th e flash drive. Select “Change Password.
10 Another dialog box will app ear… Enter your old/current p assword in the “Old Passw ord” field. (If default enter 1 1 1 1) Enter new password in the “New Password” field and enter a second time in the “Ne w Password Confirm” field. Select “Apply” 2.
11 Select “Change Passw ord” A new dialog box will appear… Enter the curren t password in the “Old Password” field. Next, leave the “New Password” and “New Password Confirm” fields blank. Selec t “Apply .” A warning will advise you that blank passwords w ill remove password protection.
