2 IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing our Cro fton Steam Iron. Each iron has been manufactured to ensure safety and reliability. Before using for the first time, please read the instructions carefully, and keep them for further reference .
3 SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS • To avoid a circuit overload, do not operat e another high wa ttage appliance on the same circuit. • If an extension cord is absolutely nece ssary a 10amp cord should be used. Cords rated for less amps may overheat. Care should be take n to arrange the cord so that it can not be pulled or tripped over.

5 OPERATION The temperature indicator light switches on while the appliance is heating up and switches off as soon as the set temperature is reached. If the temperature of the hot iron drops, you can continu e ironing while the iron heats up again to the set temperature.
How to use your Steam Iron When using your iron for the first time, re move any sti ckers or protective foil from soleplate. Test the iron on any piece of old fa bric to ensure the solepl ate and water tank are clean.
Spraying (Fig. 2) Spraying Water At any temperature by pushi ng on the spray butto n a couple of ti mes, the laundry can be damped down. Ensure that the re is enough water i n the water tank (Fi g. 2). Shot of steam By pressing steam button, an in tense shot of steam is emitte d from the soleplate.
If the iron is left moti onless in the vertical position for more than 8 minutes , the iron will be switched o ff, automatically. To indicate that the iron has shu t off automati cally, the auto shut-off indicator will start blinking an d six sound signals w ill be audible.
8. Boiling water and steam will n ow be ejected from the holes in soleplate. Impurities are washed away with it. Mo ve the iron forward and backward over the sink during this process. 9. When the water tank has become empty, reinsert the stea m control knob and set the steam control to “no steam” position .
10 STORING Allow the applianc e to cool completely before storing. Loop cord loosely around the iron when storing. Store the applia nce in a dry location. Do not place any heavy items on top of appliance during storage as this may re sult in possible damage of appliance.
