- 3 - INSTALLATION, OPERATION AND CARE OF GAS COUNTERTOP CHARBROILERS GENERAL Gas Countertop C harbroilers are designed for commer cial use only and feat ure fast, efficient ga s heat. Eac h burner is controlle d by an adj ustable gas valve. Cas t radiant s are located dire ctly above each burner to maint ain uniform temperat ure.
- 4 - supply connecti on(s). Provide 24" clea rance at the fron t for cleaning, mai ntenance, service and proper operation. Minimum clea rances to co mbustible construc tion are 1 2" to the back and 9 " to the si des. Minimum clea rances to non-c ombustible walls are 0" to th e rear and 0" to the sides.
- 5 - LEVELING It is important that the charbro iler is level front to back and lef t to right. Areas of unev en heat distribut ion will occur on an unlevele d unit. The charb roiler is equipp ed with adjustable legs. Turn the feet at t he bottom of the le gs to a djust to le vel.
- 6 - GAS PRESSURE REGULATO R INSTALLATION Gas regulator p ressure is preset at 5 ” Water Column (W.C.) for natural gas, and 10” W.C. for propane gas. Mino r adjust ments may be required b ased on site specific ga s pressure. Install the reg ulator as close to t he broiler on t he gas supply l ine as possibl e.
- 7 - Fig. 2 All orifices are of the fixed type and require no adjus tment. Standing pilots should be adjusted to provide a sl igh t yellow tip on the fla me. Pilots may be lighted by remo ving adjacent cast iron top grates and radiants. Air shutters on the main burners must b e individually adjusted to provide a blue flame.
- 8 - COMPONENT PARTS The Achiever Ch arbroiler comes with severa l standard par ts as illus trated. Each can b e easily removed and insta lled easily by hand for cleaning and maintenance. Note that the Burner and Deflector are an assembly an d are NOT designed to be disassembled.
- 9 - ACCESSORIES STANDS The charbro iler has an optiona l 24” high by 30” deep by 24”, 36”, 48”, 60” or 72” wide stainless st eel stand with casters or flanged legs. T he front c asters lock, and flanged legs may be bolte d to the floor.
