- 3 - INSTALLATION, OPERATION AND CARE OF GAS COUNTERTOP CHARBROILERS GENERAL Gas Countertop C harbroiler s are designed for commercial use only an d feature f ast, efficient ga s heat. Eac h burner is co ntrolled b y an adjustabl e gas valve. Cast radi ants are located dire ctly above each burn er to maintain unifo rm temperatur e.
LOCATION The installati on location must be kept free and clear of combustibles. Do not obstruct the flow of comb ustion and ventilation ai r. DO NOT install the charbroile r adjacent t o open burners or f ryers.
LEVELING If the charb roiler is equipped with legs or is mou nted on the optio nal stand equi pped with legs, turn the fe et at the botto m of the legs in or o ut to level the bro iler in the final installed locat ion. If the br oiler is mounted on t he optional stand equip ped with casters, position th e charbroi ler on a level floor.
GAS PRESSURE REGULATO R INSTALLATION Gas regulator p ressure is pres et at 5” Water C olumn (W.C.) fo r natural gas, and 10” W.C. for propane ga s. No further ad justment should be requir ed. Install the reg ulator as close to t he broiler on the gas supply lin e as possible.
OPERATION WARNING : THE C HARBROILER AND ITS PARTS AR E HOT. USE CARE WHEN OPERATING, CLEANING, OR SERVICING THE CHARBROILER. - 8 - CLEANI NG Scrape top grates thorou ghly so grease flows t o trough and grease draw er uninhibited. This prevents fl are ups. Top grates may be immersed in commercia l cleaning compound ov ernight. In t he morning, rinse with hot water to re move any residu es of cleanin g compound.
