4 4. The program will begin ins talling at this point. The fir st screen you will see is the f ollowing: • Sele ct “ F1U109 ” be ca use that is the autosw itch that you have. • Select wh ich LPT port you installing t he AutoSw itch on. No rmally, it is always LPT1.
5 9. Add your printers. Do this by c licking on S TART, SE TTINGS, PRINTERS . Then, do uble-clic k on th e Add New Print er icon an d follo w the ins truction s. IF YO UR PRIN TER IS NO T LISTED - Y OU HAVE TO ADD Y OUR PRINTER S USING THE SOFTWARE THAT CAM E WITH YOUR PRINTE RS.
6 ASSIGNING PRE-INSTALLED P RINTERS TO THE BELKIN AutoSwitch VIRTUAL PORTS • If you ar e trying to add yo ur print ers to Windows® and it is not listed in the def ault Add Pr inter Wizard, yo u will have to use the software that ca me with y our prin ter to i nstall the printe r.

8 III. Troubles hooting Problem: Printer does not print o r prints garbage. Soluti ons: • Disable the prin ter's bi-direction al softwar e (see attach ed document). • When connec ting 1 co mputer to 2 printers, m ake sure t he switch is set to "au to" (in th e middle) and "1> 2" (all the w ay to th e l eft.
