6 Front Panel 1. VFD Display Screen - Displays the amplifier’s operation status and settings 2. Digital Key Control - Adjusts the musical key of the music to fit the singer’s vocal range b (flat) - Lowers the musical key (natural) - Returns to the original key # (sharp) - Raises the musical key 3.
7 Front Panel 10. Power Switch - Turns the DA-7909RV On and Off. 11. Power LED - Indicates the DA-7909RV’s power status by lighting up when the power is on 12. Music Bass Control - Adjusts the bass for the music. Turn clockwise to increase and counter-clockwise to decrease.
8 Rear Panel 1. RS 232 Interface Jack - This jack is used by the factory in the event of future firmware upgrades. 2. Effects Loop IN/OUT Jacks (RCA) - Connect to an external equalizer or effects unit with L/R RCA Ins and Outs. 3. Loop On/Off Switch - Use this to turn on or bypass the Effects Loop IN/OUT channel.
9 Rear Panel 9. CD Input Level Control - Separate volume control for the CD input channel that controls the input volume for the audio device that is connected to the CD L/R RCA inputs. 10. Audio Video Input Jacks (RCA) - Connect up to 4 A/V input devices here using L/R (white & red) RCA audio cables and video (yellow) RCA cable.
10 Remote Control 1. Memory Buttons - Program and select up to 4 custom effect settings. 2. Mute - Mutes the sound for the devices connected to the Audio inputs. Press once to turn MUTE on and again to turn MUTE off. 3. FB Elim - Cycles through 4 different settings for feedback eliminator: 0 - Off, 1- Weak, 2 -Medium, 3 - Strong.
11 Before setting up the DA-7909RV make sure all of the following contents are in the packaging. It is recommended that you save the box and shipping materials in case you ever have to ship your product.
12 Getting Connected Connecting Video What you will need: • A disc player or other audio output device with an RCA video output • RCA video cable (yellow) 1. Connect one end of the RCA video cable to the RCA video ouput jack on the disc player or other audio output device 2.
13 Getting Connected Connecting a Second Pair of Speakers 1. Follow the above steps 1-4 except now use the bottom RIGHT and LEFT “Banana Plug” speaker outputs on the rear panel of the DA-7909RV.
14 Connecting a Powered Speaker or Amplifier to the Center Output The Center Output is an unpowered speaker/monitor channel that lets you monitor either music-only or vocals-only. The Center Output requires that you use a powered speaker/monitor (Fig.
15 Getting Connected Connecting the Pre-Out to a Mixer or Other Audio Input Device • 1 mixer or other audio input device with L/R (red & white) RCA audio inputs • 1 L/R RCA audio cable 1. Connect one end of the L/R RCA cable to the PRE -OUT jacks on the rear panel of the DA-7909RV 2.
16 Getting Connected Connecting Microphones The DA-7909RV allows you to connect up to 5 microphones for vocals. There are 3 microphone inputs on the front panel, each with their own volume controls and then 2 additional backup microphone inputs on the rear panel that are also controlled by the Mic 1 & 2 volume controls on the front panel.
17 Selecting an A/V Input Channel There are 5 available A/V input channels to choose from CDG, AUX, DVD, CD and Auto. Press the Input Select button on the front panel or on the remote to switch between input channels.
18 Adjusting the Master Microphone Volume • Front Panel: Turn the Mic Master Volume control clockwise to increase the volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it. • Remote Control: Press the Mic Vol + button to raise the music volume and the -- button to lower it.
19 Controlling the Vocal Echo Adding Echo to vocals gives them a more professional and unique sound. The DA-7909RV lets you adjust the Delay and Repeat for the echo effect. • REPEAT adjusts the interval repetition of the echo effect. As more REPEAT is applied to the ECHO effect, more echo intervals will occur prior to fading out.
20 Adjusting the CD (AV Input channel) Input Level The control for adjusting the CD input level is on the rear panel. NOTE: This only controls the level for the player that is connected to the CD A/V channel. Turn clockwise to raise the CD input level and counter-clockwise to lower it.
21 Using the CANCEL Button to Cancel Vocals on Multiplex CD+G Discs The Cancel button on the front panel cycles through 4 available multiplex settings: • L + R: Standard stereo mode • L + L: Left .
22 Storing Custom Effects Settings (M1, M2, M3, M4) The DA-7909RV allows you to set up to 4 custom effects settings using the M1, M2, M3, M4 memory buttons on the remote control. 1. Adjust the effects settings to your desired specifications. 2. Hold down the CANCEL button on the front panel for 10 seconds.
23 Setting the Maximum Microphone Volume The DA-7909RV allows you to set the maximum volume level that the music can be turned to. 1. Press the C. MODE button on the front panel THREE TIMES . 2. Use the MIC MASTER VOLUME control on the front panel to increase and decrease the maximum microphone volume which will be displayed on the display panel.
24 There Is No Power • Make sure the power plug is firmly connected to the outlet or surge protector/power strip. • If using a surge protector/power strip, make sure it is plugged in and turned on. Power Is On But There Is No Sound • Make sure the music and microphone volumes are turned up loud enough.
