Plugging and unplugging cables while computer(s) are po wered on may cause irreversible damage to the computer(s) and/or the MA TRIX2(s).
11 10 INST ALLA TION Connect the P ow er: Attach the po wer supply to the DC power jack labeled “DC 12V , 1A ” located on the rear of the MA TRIX2. Once the power is connected to a power source, the LED for port 01 will begin flashing. Sequentially push the direct-access port selectors for ports 01 through 08 (16 for F1DM216T).

17 16 USING YOUR MA TRIX2 Now that y ou have connected y our Console and computers to your MA TRIX2, it is ready for use. F or fast and easy identification, each of the two Consoles are color -coded: “Console A ” in amber and “Console B” in green.
SELECTING A COMPUTER USING KEYBO ARD HOT KEY COMMANDS Y ou can switch to the next or prior port with simple keyboard key sequences using the “Scroll Lock” key and either the up or do wn arrow keys. T o send commands to the MA TRIX2, the “Scroll Lock” key must be pressed twice within two seconds.
With daisy-c hain switch configur ation, you can switc h between BANKs b y pressing “Scroll Lock”, “Scroll Loc k”, “P age Up”, to switch to the next B ANK. Press “Scroll Lock”, “Scroll Lock”, “P age Down”, to switc h to the previous B ANK.
Ke yboard Hot K ey Commands: Y ou can also conveniently command the MA TRIX2 to switch ports through simple keyboard key sequences. T o send commands to the MA TRIX2, the “Scroll Lock” key must be pressed twice within two seconds. Y ou will hear a beep for confirmation.

35 34 TROUBLESHOOTING Ke yboard The computer does not detect a ke yboard and I get a keyboard error reported at boot up. • Check that the keyboard cable between the MA TRIX2 and the computer is completely connected. T ighten an y loose connections. • T ry using a different keyboard.
