- 7 - www .vivotek.com Physical Description Front Panel BNC video input 75Ohms resistanc e video port for conne cting an external camera. T o ensure video modulation type being correctly detected, cameras should be attached and powered on before the Video Server is powered on.

Cable connection Shut down all the peripheral devices prior to connection.

- 12 - www .vivotek.com Initial Access to the Video Server Check Network Settings The Video Server can be connected either before or immediately after software installation onto the Lo cal Area Network.
- 13 - www .vivotek.com How to Use Authentication After opening the W eb browser and typin g in the URL of the Video Server , a dialogu e window pops up to request a u sername and password. Upon successful authentication, the following figure is displayed.

Camera View : What the camera sees. Click on the configuration link to the le ft of the image window to enter the configur a tion page.

Uncheck “D isable digital zoo m” and use the slider contr ol to change the zoom factors. Digital Output Clicking on the “On” or “Off” bu tton turns the digital output to either on or off status.

This plug-in ha s been registered for certification and can be used to change the parameters at the client ’ s site.
- 18 - www .vivotek.com The HTTP protocol must be selected if the network is prote cted by a firewall and it only allows HT TP Port (80) to be opened. In this mode, audio wi ll not be sent and only video is operational. If no special need is required, UDP protocol is recommended.

- 20 - www .vivotek.com the bit r ate according to your bandwidth and set the maximum frame rate to 25 fps or 30 fps. If the images vary dramatically in your environment, you may want to slow the maximum frame r ate down to 20 fps in order t o lower the rate of data transmission.
