5 Initial Camcorde r Setup Charging the Battery Inst alling the Micro SD Memory Card T o Charge the Built-in Lithium Battery: Use the sup plied USB cable to co nnect the camcorder to the computer ’s U SB port or to the A C Adapter . The charge lig ht will turn off when the battery is fully charged.
6 Powering th e Digi t al Camcorder ON Battery Make sure the built-in lithium battery has been fully charged before using your camcorder . T o Charge the battery : 1. Power off the camcorder . 2. Connect your ca mcorder to a running computer w ith the USB cable provided, or use the AC charger provided in the package.
7 If the memory card has successfully been inserted an icon appears on the LCD screen. 4. T o remove the card, gently press on the edge o f the card to release it and pull the card out. 5. If the card is inserted or removed while the camcorder's power is on, it may damage the card and/or any recorded data.
8 Main Camcorder Mod es V ideo Capture Mode Use this mode to capture videos with your digital camcorder . Slide the MODE Switch to the Video Capture icon to open the Video Capture Mode. T o t ake a video, aim your camcorder as desired and press the Shutter button to start recording.

For all the accessories w ith a ¼ -20 screw , the camcorder must be enclosed in with the waterproof case or in the included mounting adapter .

Insert the free end of the Helmet Belt through one of the slots in th e base of the Helmet Mount. 2. Thread the same end in to the helmet vent and then back up to the Helmet Mount th rough another vent.
13 Mounting A dapter 1. This Mounting Adapter allows y ou to attac h mounting accessories that have a ¼-20 screw . 2. The camcorder will clip right into this adapter . Powering On Your Camcorder T urning Power On and Off 1. Press the POWER button to turn on the camcorder .
14 Video Capture Mode The Video Capture Mo de allows you to capture videos with y our digital camcorder . Slide the MODE Switch to the middle, to the V ide o Capture icon, in order to open the Vide o Capture Mode. The Vi d eo Capture icon appears on the bottom of the LCD screen.
15 The elapsed time appears on the top le ft corner of the LCD screen. 5. T o stop the video recording, press the Shutter button or touch the LCD screen again.
16 2. T ouch the Zoom In or Zoo m Out in order to better set the camcorder display if desired. NOTE : The Zoom magnif ication is indicated on th e right of th e LCD screen (in between the zoom in and zoom out icons). 3. T o change the resoluti on, touch the resolution indicator located on the top, middle of the LCD screen.
17 Photo Cap ture Mode The Photo Capture Mode allows you to capture phot os w ith your digital camcorder . Slide the MODE Switch to the top, to the Photo Capture icon, in order to open the Photo C apture Mode. The Photo Capture icon appears on the bottom of the LCD screen.
18 Playb ack Mode The Playback mode allows you to review and delete photos and vide os that you’ve captured with you camcorder . W hen y ou first turn on the camcorder , the camcorder will be in Capture mode by default.
19 Fast forward by touching the F AST FOR WARD right arrows , located to the right of the Play arrow on the LCD screen. Fast rewind by touching the F AST REWIND left arrows , located to the left of the Play arrow on the LCD screen.

21 Installing the Soft ware Y ou must be connected to the Internet to inst all and run the Vivit ar Experience Image Manager Soft w are. 1. Insert the installation CD into your CD-ROM drive. The installation sc reen should automatically open. 2. On W INDO W S OS : The Vivit a r Experience Image Manager Installe r window appears.

23 Getting Videos fro m t he Camcorder to t he Computer The Micro SD Memory card needs to be inserted. Do not disc onnec t the cable during transfer . Doing so will cancel the transfer of any files on their w ay to your computer . 1. Select the “Get Images” button from the Main menu.
