Using the Monitor Setting the Timing Mode Setting the timing mode is important for maximizing the quality of the screen image and minimizing e ye strain. The timing mode consists of the e xample 75 Hz). After setting the timing mode, use the OnV ie w ® controls to adjust the screen image.
Adjusting the Screen Ima g e Use the b uttons on the front control panel to display and adjust the OnV ie w ® controls which display on the screen. The OnV ie w controls are e xplained at the top of the next page and are def ined in “Main Menu Controls” on page 8.
Do the f ollo wing to adjust the screen image: 1 T o display the Main Menu, press b utton [1]. 2 T o select a control you want to adjust, press the arro w buttons on the front control panel of your monitor and scroll through the choices. When the control you want is highlighted, press b utton [2].
Main Men u Contr ols Adjust the menu items sho wn below b y using the up and do wn b uttons. Contr ol Explanation Contrast adjusts the dif ference between the image background (black le vel) and the fore ground (white le v el). Brightness adjusts the background black le v el of the screen image.
Degauss remo ves the b uild-up of magnetic fields that can cause irre gular colors to appear around the edges of screen images. There are two w ays to de gauss the display: automatically b y turning the monitor on, or manually by selecting the De gauss control from the menu.
