Using y our monitor Setting the Timing Mode Setting the timing mode is impo rtant for max imizing the quality of the screen image and m inimizing e y e strain. The timin g mode c onsist s of th e re s o l u t i o n (ex ample: 1024 x 768) and r efresh rate (or v ertical frequency , example: 85 Hz).
Adjusting the Screen Ima g e Use the buttons on the monitor control panel to adjust the OnV ie w ® controls. 1 Press [1] to display the Main Menu. NO TE: OnV ie w controls dis appear after 15 secon ds. 2 Press ▲ or ▼ to highlight an option. 3 Press [2].
Menu Options Contr ol Explanation Contrast adjusts th e dif ference between the image backgro und (black le vel) an d the fore ground (white le vel). Brightnes s adjusts the backg round bl ack le vel of t he screen image. Horizon tal P osition mo ves the scr een image left or right.
Tilt rotates the entire screen image. Degaus s remo ves the b uild-up of magnetic f ields that can cause irre gular color s to appear aro und the edges of screen imag es.
