General Maintenance 1. Do not place the calculator in hot , dusty, or damp locations. 2. To clean the housing, use a silicon-tre ated cloth. Do not use wat er or deterge nts. 3. Do not place anything on the housing, particul arly on the head of the pri nter mechanism .
Keyboard Layout This section describes the mode switch es, data entry keys , and operating keys p rovided on your calculator. The following terms are used in discu ssing your calculator’s operation: ¾ The accumulator is the area of the calculator’s logic that stores a running total of the results of addition and subtraction operations.

(0) – (9) (00)(. ) NUMERIC KEYS The calculator uses the conventi onal 10 – ke y indexing keyboard, and i ncludes the do uble zero key and the decimal point key.
( + ) PLUS KEY Adds an amount to the acc umulator. To add th e sam e amount more than onetime (repeat addition), enter that amount once a nd depress the Plus key as m any times as necessary. If this key is depressed immediately after the (%) key, it works as a percent add key.
