5 Please Read Operating Instructions Carefully Bef ore Using the Heritage™ Full Spectrum Floor Lamp: 1. Set lamp base on the fl oor and insert the low er lamp shaft (G) onto the base and screw cloc kwise to tighten. (Fig.1) 2. Pull the slac k of the electr ical cord through the lamp base.
6 ASSEMBL Y INSTRUCTIONS cont. 8. Attach the ballast to the po wer cord. Use care to align the 4-pin plug properly . DO NO T FORCE – the 4-pin plug was designed to fi t in only one orientation. (Fig. 3) Fig. 3 9. Plug ballast into a standard 120V 50/60Hz outlet.
7 ADJUSTING THE HERIT AGE™ FLOOR LAMP 3. T o adjust lamp head angle up or down – loosen s wiv el knob counterclockwise , place head at desired angle, tighten s wiv el knob to secure. (Fig. 6) 4. T o tilt lamp head toward y ou or aw ay from y ou – simply mov e head to desired position.
8 BULB REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS Remov al 1. Unplug lamp from power source . 2. T o access the bulb , remove Optix ® glare control fi lter b y depressing the thumb tab and lifting it out. 3. Firmly hold bulb base (B) and pull bulb (C) from the soc ket (A) in an outward motion.
9 TROUBLESHOOTING Y our V erilux ® desk lamp uses advanced micro-electronics to po wer the re volutionary T rucolite™ bulb . These electronics are housed in a specially designed ballast located at the pow er plug. The LED indicator light on the ballast allows y ou to troubleshoot an y problems with the lamp’ s function.
10 CARE & CLEANING Y our lamp is made from high quality materials that will last for man y years with minim um care. Y ou ma y want to periodically clean the lamp , using a mild non-abrasiv e cleaner and soft cloth. When cleaning, mak e sure you ha ve turned off and unplugged the unit, and allowed suffi cient time f or the unit to cool.
