5 Please Read Operating Instructions Carefully Bef ore Using the Heritage Desk Lamp: 1. Set lamp base on the desk and inser t the counter weight arm (F) onto the center s wivel (E) and scre w clockwise to tighten. (Fig.1) 2. T o lift lamp head, loosen swiv el knob (C), adjust head to desired angle.
6 ASSEMBL Y INSTRUCTIONS cont. 4. Attach the ballast to the po wer cord. Use care to align the 4-pin plug properly . DO NO T FORCE – the 4-pin plug was designed to fi t in only one orientation. (Fig. 3) Attention! Lift your lamp b y the vertical shaft.
7 ADJUSTING THE HERIT AGE DESK LAMP The Heritage™ Desk Lamp adjusts several wa ys: 1. T o adjust lamp height – hold lamp ar m with one hand, loosen center s wivel knob (E). Raise or low er lamp ar m (D) to desired height. Tighten knob . (Fig. 5) 2.
8 BULB REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS Remov al 1. Unplug lamp from power source . 2. T o access the bulb , remove Optix ® glare control fi lter b y depressing the thumb tab and lifting it out. 3. Firmly hold bulb base (B) and pull bulb (C) from the soc ket (A) in an outward motion.
9 TROUBLESHOOTING Y our V erilux ® desk lamp uses advanced micro-electronics to po wer the re volutionary T rucolite™ bulb . These electronics are housed in a specially designed ballast located at the pow er plug. The LED indicator light on the ballast allows y ou to troubleshoot an y problems with the lamp’ s function.
10 CARE & CLEANING Y our desk lamp is made from high quality materials that will last for many y ears with minimum care. Y ou may w ant to per iodically clean the lamp , using a mild non-abrasiv e cleaner and soft cloth. When cleaning, make sure y ou hav e tur ned off and unplugged the unit, and allow ed suffi cient time f or the unit to cool.
