Setting the Internal DIP Switches A set of f our DIP s wit ches is loca ted under t he paper holde r on the bott om of your Pri nter 900. Make sur e that these switches are set as indi cated below b ef o re con necting a nd oper ating the pri nter . The pr inte r will n ot oper ate prope r ly if th e s witches are no t set correctl y .
Installing the Printer 900 CAUT ION: Un plug the term inal’s power pack befor e con- nec ting the Print er 90 0 to the term inal. Bef ore installi ng the Printer 900, y ou must ha v e the correct p rinter inte rface c ab le.
Installing o r Replacing the Ribbon Cartridge 1. Remo ve t he ribbon co ve r by pres sing t he front tab and liftin g the cov er up. 2. If you are replac ing an old r ibbo n, pull up on the li ft tab on the right side of the cartr idg e (see Figu re 6), remo ve the car tridge an d discard it.

As soon as the sensor detects the paper, the printer automatically feeds and advances the paper.
