3 L ocating the Drive on Y our Desk P lace the drive on a sturdy desk or table that is f ree f rom clutter tha t could block air fl ow around the unit. The drive can be used in either the horizontal or vertical position. Please install the attachable rubber f eet as shown below depending on which orientation you pre f er .
4 D isconnecting Y our Har d Driv e Y our external hard drive is hot-swappable. It can be connected and disconnected without restar ting your computer . T o disconnect your drive at any time, per f orm the f ollowing steps . Y ou can also disconnect your hard drive at any time while your computer is power ed o ff.
