Issue 0 1 947994 V-1040 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR CLEAN ROOM CEILING SPEAKER The Valcom Ce iling Speaker, V-1040 is a self-am plified and capabl e of reproducing voice paging in cl ean room environments. The V-1040 has a screwdriver adjustable volum e control located on the 1 watt amplifie r circuit board.

3 Solid Surface Ceiling (Sheetrock) In a sheetrock ceiling installation it is necessary to install the preconstruction ring and backbox assembly before the installation of the sheetro ck. Referring to Figure 3 mount t he backbox to the speaker mounting ring and attach the assembly to the ceiling joists usi ng the appropriate hardware.
