8 2 Appliance description The appliance is designed to extract cooking fumes and smells from the cooking area. This particular model can be used to extract or recirculate air. 2.1 Extraction model A fan extracts cooking fume s and smells from above the cooking s urface.

3 Use 13 3.4 Clean-Air function Activating t he Clean-Air f unction ➤ Hold the button depressed for 5 seconds. – The display flashes. – The clean air function remains activa ted until it is ma nually deactivated. Deactivati ng the Clean-Air funct ion ➤ Hold the button depressed for 5 seconds.
3 Use 14 3.6 Illumination ➤ Press the button to switch the illumination on or off. ➤ Hold the button depressed to dim the light. 3.7 Saturation indicator for the grease filter The disp lay illuminates after 15 operating hours or at the la test 14 days after first being put into operation.
15 4 Care and maintenance 4.1 Cleaning the housing Cleaning the outside/inside ➤ Clean the outs ide using a sligh tly damp cloth – a nd detergent if necess ary – and wipe dry. Grease and condensate water can build up around the grease filter on the inside.
4 Care and maintenance 16 4.2 Cleaning the grease filter The grease filter should be clea ned weekly with normal use, o r once every two weeks at a minimum. If properly ca re d for, a grease filter should provide unlimited years of service. Mistral ➤ Carefully fold down the gla ss panel.
4 Care and maintenance 17 4.3 Cleaning and replacing t he long-life activated charcoal filter The long-life activated charcoal fi lter can be cleaned and reactivated. The long-life activat ed charcoal filter should be ch anged ever month with norm al use or whenever the indicator illuminates .

19 5 Trouble-shooting 5.1 What to do if … … the illuminat ion is not working … the appliance is not extracting enough air Possible cause Solution • Fuse or circuit breaker for electrical installations in the home is f aulty. ➤ Replace the fuse.
