1 Safety precautions 6 1.2 Before using for the first time • The appliance must be installed and co nnected to the el ectricity supply in accordance with the s eparate installa tion instructions. The necessary work should be carried out by a qualified fitter or electrician.

10 2 Your appliance 2.1 Appliance description The appliance operate s with a closed air circuit. With the help of the heat pump, the moisture is e xtracted from the air which is then heated up again. Recovering heat in this way sharpl y reduces energy consumption.

2 Your appliance 14 2.4 Using for the first time When the appliance i s connected to the power suppl y for the first time , it is possible to select a function test. The pu rpose of the function test is to check the installation and it la sts about 3 minut es.

17 3 Programme overview 3.1 Programme sequence for automatic programmes The drying programme has 3 phases: Drying The washing is tum ble dried unti l it reaches the set l evel of dryness. Th e drying programme is monitored by a moisture sensor. As so on as the required level of dryness is reached, the «Cooling down/airi ng» phase starts.
3 Program me overvie w 18 3.2 Automatic programmes To select the right drying progra mme, follow the fabric care symbols on garment labels, e.g. . Programme Symbol Use Extra dry For thick, multi-layered fabrics and mixed l oads. Not suitable for knit ted or woven arti cles such as T-shirts and underwear as they could shrink.
3 Programme overview 19 The stated values f or the programme dura tion and energy apply for the maximum stated capacity with a wa sh spun at approx. 1000 rpm (corre- sponds to a residual moisture of approx. 60 %). A higher spinning speed and a smaller load reduce them by about 20–30 %.

3 Programme overview 23 3.5 Favourites Defining your favou rites Simplifies sele cting frequently used programmes. You can compile your own favourites. Favourites are easy to start. • A maximum of 3 favourites can be saved. The appliance door has to be open to define , change or delete a favourite.

26 4 User settings Providing no programme is running and no error message is displaye d, the user settings can be changed with the appliance door open or closed. 4 User settings 28 4.1 Language The language in the display is se lected after using for the first time under S ELECT LANGUAGE FOR DISPLAY and can be chan ged at any time, as described in this section. Changing the language ➤ Hold the button depressed for 5 seconds.
4 User settings 29 4.2 Level of dryness The appliance is designe d to provide the most energy-efficien t drying. The moisture sensor continually monitors the level of dr yness of the washing. If the washing is not being dried sufficiently – or being overdried – the level of dryness can be reset.
4 User settings 30 4.3 Childproof lock The childproof lock is to prevent sma ll children accide ntally starting or stopping a programme. When the childproof lock is on, a programme can only be started by pressing two buttons simultaneously. Switching the childproof loc k on/off ➤ Hold the button depressed for 5 seconds.
4 User settings 31 4.4 Brightness This function can be used to change the displ ay contrast between the text and the background. 33 5D r y i n g Preparin g the applian ce ➤ Plug the appliance in at the mains or turn the wall switch on. Loading the appliance ➤ Open the applianc e door (press the middle o f the lock side of the door at the ed ge). ➤ Loosely load wet washing items one by one.
5 Drying 34 5.1 Programme selection «Tip and go» An automatic programme can be selected with the press of a single button. All the necessary s ettings for the progra mme are made automaticall y. Additional functions can be selected or deselected by pressing the corre- sponding button.

5 Drying 38 5.3 Interrupting a programme A running programme can be interrupted at any time to add/remove an i tem of washing before time. ➤ Open the appliance do or. – The indicator light for the pr ogramme selected illumi nates. – The programme name and duration remaining or delayed start period flash in the display.
