7 English Getting Started Connecting the Projector • P5206/N216/PN-X14 / S5201/T111/PS-X11 Note: To ensure the projector works well with your comp uter, please make sure the timing of the display mode is compatible with the projector.

9 English Turning the Projector On/Off Turning On the Projector 1 Remove the len s cap. 2 Ensure that the power co rd and signal cable ar e securely connected. The Power LED will ligh t red. 3 Turn on the proje ctor by pressing (POWER) on the control p anel or remote control, and the Power indicator LED will turn blue.
10 English Turning Off the Projector 1 To turn the projector off, press the power button. This message appears: "Please press the power button again to complete the shutdown process.
11 English Adjusting the Projected Image Adjusting the Height of the Projected Image The projector is equipped with an elevator foo t for adjusting the image height. To raise the i mage: 1 Press the elevator button. 2 Raise the image to the desired hei ght angle, then release the button to lock the elevator foot into position.
12 English How to Optimize Image Size and Distance Consult the table below to find the optimal im age sizes achievable when the projector is positioned at a desired distance from the screen. • P5206/N216/PN-X14 If the projector is 3 m from the screen, goo d image quality is possible for im age sizes between 75" and 98".
13 English • S5201/T111/PS-X11/S5201B/T111E/PS-X11K If the projector is 2 m from the screen, good image quality is possible for image sizes around 161". Note: Remind as below figure, the space of 320 cm height is required when located at 2 m distance.
14 English • S5301WB/T121E/PS-W11K If the projector is 2 m from the screen, good image quality is possible for image sizes around 189". Note: Remind as below figure, the space of 281 cm height is required when located at 2 m distance.

18 English User Controls Installation Menu The installation menu provides an on screen display (OSD) for projector installation a nd ma inte nance. Use the OSD on ly when the message "No signal input" is disp layed on the screen. 1 Turn on the proje ctor by pressing (POWER) on the control p anel or remote control.

20 English Onscreen Display (OSD) Menus The projector has multil ingual Onscre en Display (OSD) men us that allo w you to make i mage adjustments an d change a vari ety of settings. Using the OSD menus • To open the OSD menu, press "MENU" on the control p anel or remote control.
21 English Color Display Mode There are many factory presets optimized for various types of images. • Bright: Fo r brightness optimiza tion. • Presentation: For meeting presentation with higher brightness . • Standard: For common envir onment. • Video: For pla ying video i n a bright en vironment.
22 English Note: "Saturation" and "Tint" fun ctions are not supported und er computer, or HDMI (PC) mode. Note: "HDMI Color Range" is onl y available when the input si gnal is HDMI. Degamma Effects the representation of dark scenery.
23 English Image Projection • Front-Desktop: The factory default setting. • Front-Ceiling: When you select this function , the projector inverts the image for ceiling-m ounted projection . • Rear-Desktop: When you select this function, the projector reverses the image so that you can project behind a translucent screen.
24 English Sharpness Adjusts the sharpness of the image. • Press to decrease the sharpness. • Press to increase the sharpness. H. Position (Horizontal Position) • Press to move the image left. • Press to move the image right. V. Position (Vertical Position) • Press to move the image down.
25 English Note: "H. Position", "V. Position", "Frequency" and " Tracking" functions are not supported under vi deo mode. Note: "Sharpness" function is not supported under com puter mode. Note: The 3D function is support ed by VGA source only.
26 English Startup Screen Use this function to select your desired startup screen. If you change the setting, it will take effect when you exit the OSD menu. • Acer: The default startup screen of your Acer projector. • User: Use the memorized picture from the "Screen Capture" function.
27 English Closed Capti on Selects a pr eferred close d captioni ng mode from CC1, CC2, CC3, CC4, (CC1 displays cap tions in the primary language in your area). Select "Off" to tu rn off the captioning feature. This function is only available when a composite vide o or S- Video input signal is selected and its system format is NTSC.
28 English User Password • Press to set up or change "User Passwor d". • Use the numerical keys on the remote control to set the password and press "MENU" to confirm. • To delete the digits, Press . • Enter the password again when you see "Confirm Password" displayed.

LAN Setting (for P5206/ N216/PN -X14/ S5201/T111/PS- X11) To connect your projector to the network: 1 Take a RJ45 cable and conn ect one end to the LAN input jack of the projector and the oth er end to the RJ45 port.

31 English Note 2 : An overview of the Tools page Note 3: The Info page shows the projector infor mation and status. Management ECO Mode Choose "On" to dim the pro jector lamp, which will also lower the power consum ption, reduce noise, and extend the lamp life.
32 English Audio High Altitude Choose "On" to turn on th e High Altitude mod e. When this function is turned on, the projector fans operate at full speed continuously to co ol down the projector’s temperature.
33 English Timer Language Timer Location Sets the location of the timer on the screen. Timer Start (or Stop) Press to start or stop the timer. Timer Period (Minutes) Press to adjust the timer period. Timer Volume Select this function to ad just the notification volume when the timer function is enabled and time is up.

39 English Replacing the Lamp Use a screwdriver to remove the screw(s) from the cover, and then pull out the lamp. The projector will detect the lamp life itself. It will show you a warning message "Lamp is approach ing the end of its useful life in full powe r operation.
40 English Ceiling Mount Installation If you wish to install the projector using a ce iling mount, please refer to the steps below: 1 Drill four holes into a solid, structurally sound part of the ceiling, and secure the mount base. Note: Screws are not included.
41 English 3 Use the appropriate number of screws for the projector size to attach the projector to the ceiling mount bracket. Note: It is recommended that you keep a reasonable space between the bracket and the projector to allow fo r proper heat distribution.
