Y our UH039P unit uses the included NiMH batter y pack for power . The unit can be powered with optional 4 AAA ALKALINE batteries. GETTING ST ARTED T o avoid damage to the unit do not mix old and new batteries. T o install the batteries: 1. Make sure your radio is off .
If the batter y level becomes low , the batter y indicator icon on the LCD begins flashing. LOW BA TTERY ALERT When the batteries in the unit are low , the unit will go into a Batter y Low mode.
