T o avoid damage to the unit do not mix old and new batteries. OLD NEW BA TTERY INST ALLA TION Y our UH036SX radio uses 3 AAA ALKALINE batteries for power . Use only good quality alkaline batteries for maximum life and range. Note: Batteries are not supplied.
If the Batter y level becomes low , the batter y indicator icon will appear on the LCD and begin flashing. LOW BA TTERY ALERT The unit will go into a Batter y Low Mode. The T ransmit Mode is disabled. Replace the batteries immediately to continue using the radio.
