Introduction Thank you for purchasing the Ubiquiti Netw orks® PowerBeam ™ . This Quick Start Guide is designed to guide you through the installation, and show you how to access the airOS® Configuration Interface.

Release Button After you assemble the Po werBeam, check the Release button; it should be fully engaged in the Release Button Slot of the Rear Housing . This ensures that the Antenna Feed is locked into place . I f you need to remove the Antenna Feed , you must depr ess the Release button first.
Application Examples The Pow erBeam mounted outdoors with the Dish Reflector installed provides directional outdoor cover age (gain is reflector-dependent). The Pow erBeam mounted outdoors without the Dish Reflector installed provides outdoor-to-indoor cov erage using the 3 dBi Antenna Feed only .
Installation The installation instructions show the PowerBeamM2; however , the same instructions apply to the PowerBeamM5. 1. Align and insert the tabs of the Dish Bracket into the slots of the Dish Reflector . Rotate the Dish Bracket counter-clockwise until the tabs lock into place.
3. Push in the sides of the Cable Door and detach it from the Rear Housing . 20 10 0 10 4. Attach the Antenna Feed : a. I nsert the Antenna Feed into the Rear Housing , and push until it locks into place with a click. b. Lightly pull the Antenna Feed to ensure that it is locked into place and the Release button is fully engaged.
5. Connect the Ethernet cable: a. Connect an Ethe rnet cable to the Ethernet Port of the Antenna Feed . b. Re-attach the Cable Door to the Rear Housing .
7. Insert the U-Bolt into the Pole Clamp and Dish Brack et . Secure each end of the U-Bolt with a Flange Nut. 20 10 10 0 25 N-m Note: The mounting assembly can accommodate a Ø 32 - 56 mm pole.
9. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable from the PowerBeam t o the Ethernet por t labeled POE on the PoEAdapter . 10. Connect an Ethernet cable from your LAN or computer to the Ethernet port labeled LAN on the PoE Adapter . 11. Connect the Power Cord to the pow er por t on the PoE Adapter .
Accessing airOS Verify c onnectivity in the airOS Configuration Interface. 1. Make sure that your host machine is connected via Ethernet to the Po werBeam. 2. Configure the Ethernet adapter on your host syst em with a static IP address on the 192.168.
5. Select the PowerBeam Dish Reflector size: a. Click the Wireless tab. b. F rom the Antenna drop-do wn list, selec t the appropriate option. c. Click Change to save. d. Click OK to confirm. Customize additional settings as needed to complet e the configuration.
