Foo t Pos it io n Riders are most efficient if they place the b all of their foot in the center of the p ed al. Other riders are more comfortable if the arch of their foot is against the pe dal. The PS900 Bike has two ways of monitoring your he art rate: ...By using a chest strap that transmit s your hear t rate to the bike via radio... ...or by u sing the metal contact hear t rate pads on the handlebars .
When you wear a Polar® or com patible transmitter strap, the bik e will display your hear t rate as a digital b eats -p er -minute (bpm) readout . The transmit ter strap should be worn directly against your skin, ab out one inch below the pe ctoral muscles/breast line (see pic ture below).

Co ns t ant HR C Cr ui se Co nt ro l Constant HRC is the best-known typ e of HRC, and is the ea siest to use. The bike will gradually rai se your hear t rate so tha t you reach your target within 5 to 7 minutes.

In addition to monitoring your heart rate as you exercise, be certain of how quickly your hear t rate recovers. If your he art rate is over 120 be ats per minute five minutes after exer c ising , or is higher than normal the morning af ter ex ercising , your exertion may be too strenuous for your current level of fitness .
