3 Mounting Mount your equipment in either a 4-post or 2-post rack or rack enclosure (see next page for 2-post mounting). The user must determine the fitness of hardware and procedures before mounting. If hardware and procedures are not suitable for your application, contact the manufacturer of your rack or rack enclosure.

7 6 Basic Operation Buttons (Front P anel) “ON/OFF/ST ANDBY” Button When the UPS system is connected to a live AC utility power source, the UPS System will operate in one of three modes: ON, OFF or ST ANDBY . Refer to the chart below for UPS System operating characteristics within each mode.
9 8 Basic Operation continued Other UPS Features (Rear P anel) AC Receptacles: Y our UPS features IEC320-C13 outlets, and select models also feature IEC320-C19 outlets. These output receptacles provide your con- nected equipment with AC line power during normal operation and battery power during blackouts and brownouts.
11 10 Storage and Service Storage Before storing your UPS, turn it completely OFF . If you store your UPS for an extended period of time, recharge the UPS batteries for 4 to 6 hours once every three months. Note: after you connect the UPS to utility power , it will automatically begin charging its batteries.
