EN 13 Reconnecting the tablet to the keyboard T o reconnect the tablet to the keyboard, please proceed as follows: a) Align the hinge fitting on the keyboard so that the tablet dock is pointing vertically upwards. b) Nex t, lower the tablet vertically, with its tablet dock r esting on the keyboard tablet dock, and press carefully until it locks.
EN 14 7) Star ting up the Sur fT ab for the first time Charging the SurfT ab Our Sur fT ab tablets are generally delivered with the battery 70% charged. Nonetheless, you should connect the SurfT ab to a power socket before starting it up for the first time.
EN 15 8) Info Center The Info Center is a bar with quick links to some important Sur fT ab functions, which you can either display or hide. T o access the Info Center , swipe your finger from the right edge of the screen towar ds the centre, or click/tap on the memo symbol in the bottom right hand corner .
EN 16 9) Accessing and using the Start menu Y ou’r e already familiar with the Start menu from your desktop PC at home. It ac ts as the starting point for all the impor tant contents of your SurfT ab twin. Below you can read some useful inf ormation about the Star t menu’ s basic functions.
EN 17 Accessing the Start menu T o display the star t menu, tap the Windows icon in the bottom left of the display , or press the Windows button on the keyboard.
EN 18 Organising and removing apps T o access edit mode for a particular live tile, place your finger on the live tile you want and keep it there until it highlights (the background becomes darker , the live tile stands out visually). T wo edit symbols now appear at the corners of the tile.
