8 English Getting Started Connecting the Projector Note: To ensure the projector works well with your computer, please make sure the timi ng of the display mode i s compatible with the projector. Note: "*" USB drive limitatio n, do not support power co nsumption over 500mA.
9 English Turning the Projector On/Off Turning on the Projector 1 Remove the lens cap.(Illustration #1) 2 Ensure that the power cord and sign al cable are securely connected. The Power indicator LED will flash red. 3 Turn on the p rojector by pressing " Power " button on the control panel, and the Power indicator LED will turn blue.
10 English Turning the projector off 1 To turn the projector off, press the power button. This me ssage appears: "Please press the power button again to complete the shutdown process.
11 English Adjusting the Projected Image Adjusting the Height of Projected Image The projector is equipped with ele vator feet for adjusting the height of image. To raise/lower the image: 1 Raise the image to the desired heigh t angle (Illustration #1), then pull ou t the stand feet into position.
12 English How to optimize image size and distance Consult the table below to find the optimal im age sizes achievable when the projector is positioned at a de sired di stance from the screen. Example: If the projector is 3 m from the screen, good image quality is possible for image sizes between 59" and 91".

14 English How to get a preferred image size by adjusting distance and zoom The table below shows how to ach ieve a desired image size b y adjusting either the position or the zoom ring. For example: to obtain an image size of 50" set the projector at a distance 1.

16 English How to get a preferred im age position by adjusting lens shift The projector is equipped wi th lens shi ft for adjusting the po sition of projected image right and left or up and do wn wi thout requiring you to physically move the projector.
17 English Adjusting the horizontal or vertical image position The vertical image height can be ad justed between 5% and 30% of the image height. (The minimum vertical image offset is fixed at 5% of the image height above the cent re of the proj ector lens.

19 English User Controls Installation menu The installation menu provides an on screen display (OSD) for projector installation and maintenance. Use the OSD o nly when the message "No signal input" is displayed on the screen.
20 English Acer Empowering Technology Empowering Key Acer Empoweri ng Key provides fo ur Acer unique functions, they are "Acer eView Management", "Acer eTimer Management" and " Acer ePower Management" respectively.
21 English Onscreen Display (OSD) Menus The projector has multilingual OSD that allow you to make image adjustments and change a variety of settings. Using the OSD menus • To open the OSD menu, press "MENU" on the remote control or control panel.
22 English Color Display Mode There are many factory pr esets optimized for various types of images. • Bright: For brig htness optimizati on. • Presentation: For meeting presentation with higher brightness. • Standard: For common environment. • Movie: For brighter and general movie/video/photo playi ng.
23 English Note: "Saturation", "Tint" and "Noise Reduction" functions are not supported under comput er mode or HDMI mode. Advanced Noise Reduction Adjusts signal noise reduction. "0" means the noise reduction is off, ">0" increase noise reduction.

Rear-Desktop • When you sele ct this functio n, the projecto r reverses the i mage so you can project from behind a t ranslucent screen.
25 English Note: "H. Position", "V. Position", "Frequency" and "Tracking" functions are not supported under HDMI, DVI or Video mode. Management Frequency "Frequ ency" chang es the proj ector's refr esh rate to match the frequency of your computer’s graphi cs card.
26 English Setting Menu Location Choose the menu location on the dis play screen. Source Lock When source lock is turned "off", the projector will search for other signals if the current input signal is lost.
27 English Timeout(Min.) Once "Security " is activated to "On", the administrator can se t timeout function . • Press or to se lect the timeout interval . • The range is from 10 minute to 990 minutes. • When the time is up, t he projecto r will promp t the user to enter the password again.

35 English Cleaning and replacing the dust filters Cleaning the dust filters Clean the dust filters after every 1000 hours of use. If they are note cleaned periodically, they can become clogged with dust, preventing proper ventilatio n. This can cause overheating and da mage the projector.
36 English Replacing the Lamp Use a screwdriver to remove the screw(s) from the cover, and then pull out the lamp. The projector will detect the lamp life. You will be shown a warning message " Lamp is approach ing the end of its useful life in full po wer operation.
37 English Ceiling Mount Installation If you wish to install the projector using a ce iling mount, please refer to the steps below: 1 Drill four holes into a solid, structurally sound part of the ceiling, and secure the mount base. Note: Screws are not included.
38 English 3 Use the appropriate number of screws for the projector size to attach the projector to the ceiling mount bracket. Note: It is recommended that you keep a reasonable space between the bracket and the projector to allow fo r proper heat distribution.
