Handling the LCD Module Appendix A Appendix A Handling the LCD Module Precautions for handling the LCD module The LCD module can be easily damaged duri ng assembly or disassembly.
Handling the LCD Module 3. If the panel’s surface gets fingerprint or dus t, put on gloves and wipe it with static electricity cloth. If it is still d irty, drop some cleaning alcoho l on the surface and wipe it again. If the surface is much more fingerprint or dust, w e recommend a CRT cleaning agent.
Handling the LCD Module 6. CMOS-LSI circuits are used in the m odule, so guard against damage from electrostatic discharge. Be sure to wear a wrist or ankle ground when handling the module.
Handling the LCD Module 7. Do not expose the module to direct sunlight or strong ultraviolet rays for long periods. 8. Do not store the module at temperatures below specifications. Cold can cause the liquid crystals to freeze, lose their elasticity or otherwise suffer damage.
Handling the LCD Module 10. If you transport the module, do not use p acking material that contains epoxy resin (amine) or silicon glue (alcohol or oxide).
