28 TV Viewing Y ou hav e two options with the closed caption feature (CC MODE): captions or text. A caption is a printed version of the dialogue , narration and/or sound eff ects of a TV prog ram. T ext is inf or mation not related to the program that appears on half of the TV screen when av ailable.
29 TV Viewing V -CHIP SETUP The V -CHIP function is a vailable only f or the U .S. V -CHIP system. The Canadian V -CHIP system is not suppor ted. Y ou can prev ent others from viewing certain programs or channels by b locking them using or channels by b locking them using the V -CHIP f eature.
30 TV Viewing T o set ENABLE BLOCKING 1 Enter V -CHIP SETUP and enter a pass word. 2 Press / to select “ENABLE BLOCKING”. 3 Press ENTER to select “ON” or “OFF”. ON: T o activate the “ENABLE BLOCKING” f eature or changing the setting. OFF: The “ENABLE BLOCKING” feature does not function.
