Use only media which meet specified requirements. Use of non-specified media may shorten the head life and result in problems with bar code readability or print quality.

CARE/HANDLING OF THE MEDIA • The thermal paper used for direct thermal printing must not have the specifications which exceed Ca ++ 800 ppm, Na + 800 ppm, K + 800 ppm and CL - 600 ppm. • Some ink used on pre-printed labels may contain components which shorten the print head's product life.

NOTE: Clean the printer cover with an electrostatic free cleaner for automated office equipment.
