This enables you to specify the groups instead of specifying each recipient separate ly when operating Scan to E-mail, or fax or Internet Fax transmission.

47 2 4. MANAGING DEP ARTMENT CODE Logging On As Administrator Y ou can audit the copy quantity of copy , print, sc an, and facsimile pages performed by setting a depart- ment code. Up to 1000 departm ent codes can b e registered. T o manage th e department code, you must know the administrator p assword for this equipment.

51 2 Resetting All Dep artment Counters This function clears all de partment counters to “0”. • This function is available only when the department code is enabled. • This function clears only the department co unters. Y ou cannot clear the total counter .

79 3 6. CHECKING E-MAIL This function allows yo u to check for new E-mails (Internet Faxes) on the POP3 server . The [CHECK E-MAIL] button in the [USER] menu will be available only when the Scanner Kit is installed, or when the Printer/Scanner Kit is installed.

81 3 8. TURN OFF THE POWER (SHUT DOWN) When turning off the power of the equipment , p erform the following shutdown procedure. DO NOT turn off the power by switching off the power s witch of the e quipment as it can cause th e failure of the hard disk.

91 4 Setting the Notification Y ou can set th e notification mail to send a notification message when specifi ed events occur on this equip- ment such as toner empty , paper empty , serviceman call, and so on. Y ou can specify up to 3 E-mail addresses for the destination of the notification message.

93 4 Changing the Administrator Password Y ou can change the administrator password. The ad ministrator password must be alphanumeric cha rac- ters of 6 or more and 10 or less. 1 Press the [GENERAL] button in the ADMIN menu. • The GENERAL menu is displayed.

95 4 Setting the Date and Time The clock built in to this equipment can be set by en tering the date an d time using the digital keys. Also, you can easily change the clock to and from th e daylight saving syste m at the touch of a button. 1 Press the [GENERAL] button in the ADMIN menu.
