28 EN Information on DVD Recording This unit can record on D VD-RW/-R discs and D VD+RW/+R discs. D VD -R/+R discs allow y ou to re cord programmes only once , and the recorded contents can be erased although the space left on the disc does not change.

30 EN Formatting a Disc When inser ting a brand-new D VD-RW/+R W disc, the unit automatically star ts to initiali se the disc. D VD+RW disc will alwa ys be formatted in +VR mode, and D VD-RW disc will be formatted either video or VR mode according to the recording format mode setting of the unit.

Using the Auto Chapter menu, you can set this function off or change the time period.
