The REGZA-LINK ® feature uses the CEC technolo gy as regulate d by the HDMI standard.
19 Chapter 2: Connecting your TV Connecting a HDMI audio system HDMI audio system is available if you r AV amplifier corresponds to AR C. You will need: •H D M I c a b l e HDMI's ARC (Audio Return Channel) feature This feature enables the audio si g n a l o f t h e T V t o b e s e n t to the AV amplifier via the HDMI cable.

To program your TV remote control to operate a non-Toshiba device (or a Toshiba device that it is not preprogrammed to operate), follow th e steps below.

44 Chapter 6: Basic features Downloading an additional rating system for blocking TV programs and movies An additional rating system may be avai lable for use in selectively blocking programs. Note: The currently tuned station must be receiving a digital signal before an additional rating system can be downloaded.
45 Chapter 6: Basic features Note: • If you place an “ 5 ” in the box next to “ Rated “None ” ”, programs rated “ None ” or “ Not Rated ” will be blocked; however, programs that do not provide any rat ing information will not be blocked.
46 Chapter 6: Basic features GameTimer ® You can use the GameTimer ® to set a time limit for playing a video game (30–120 minutes). When the GameTimer expires, the TV enters Input Lock mode and locks out th e input source for the video game device.
47 Chapter 6: Basic features Using REGZA-LINK ® This feature uses CEC tech nology and allows you t o control Toshiba REGZA-LINK ® compatible devices with the TV remote contro l via HDMI conn ection. When Enable RE G ZA-LINK in the RE G ZA-LINK S etup menu is set to On , the followin g REGZA-LINK ® functions will be enabled.

50 Chapter 6: Basic features Using the PC settings feature You can view an image from a PC on the TV screen. When a PC is connected to the TV's P C IN terminal, you can use the PC Settings feature to make adjustments to the image. If the edges of the picture are cut off, readjust the Horizontal Position and Vertical Position .
51 Chapter 6: Basic features Setting the On Timer You can set the On Timer to automatically turn on the TV to a preset channel or inpu t at a preset time. The Software Keyboard window w ill appear when you press on a field that accepts character input. 70 Chapter 8: Advanced features Using the Media Player This TV allows you to enjoy photo file s stored on a US B device or SD Memory Card. Moreover, you can also play phot os, movies or music files from your PC by connecting the TV to your home network.
71 Chapter 8: Advanced features Using Media Player wit h DLNA CERTIFIE D ™ Server You need to configure a h ome network before using this feature ( - page 21). 1 From the APPLICATION S menu, highlight Me d ia Playe r , and then press . 2 Press C or c to select Photo , Movie , or Music and press .
72 Chapter 8: Advanced features Viewing Movie files (on DLNA CERTIFIED ™ Server) Basic Playback: 1 After selecting a file ( - “To select a file i n the list of contents” on page 70 ), press or S to begin playback. Note: • When you highlight the file without pressing , the content is played on a preview screen.
73 Chapter 8: Advanced features To display the file status information: 1 Press during playback. The information will be displayed on the bottom of the screen. 2 Press again to remove the information. Note: The information may not be correctly displayed depending on contents, DMC or DMS .
74 Chapter 8: Advanced features To set the repeat mode: 1 Press . The curr ent repeat setting will appear. 2 Press C or c to select Off , All or 1 . 3 Press . The setting is effective until the TV is turned off. Note: When the TV is used as a DMR, this feature is not available.
