3 For your safety SETTING UP This equipment has been designed and manufactured to meet international safety standards but, like any electrical equipment, care must be taken if you are to obtain the best results and safety is to be assured. So, please read the points below for your own safety .
4 SETTING UP Y our new television ’s remote control Remove the back cover to reveal the battery compartment and make sure you insert the batteries the right way round. Suitable battery types for this remote are R03 or AAA. Do not throw your old batteries into a fire, dispose of them in a designated disposal area.

USING Y OUR TV 12 Picture controls When this TV receives a true Widescreen picture and Automatic format is ON , it will automatically be displayed in Widescreen format, irrespective of the TV ’s previous setting . Press the MENU button, and use either the S or R button to select the Feature menu .

14 Select the Timer option from the top menu bar . Select the On timer (or the Off timer ). If , for example, you want the TV to turn ON (or OFF) in one and a half hours time, enter 01:30 using the numbered buttons on the remote control. If setting the Off timer press EXIT .
