5 INSTALLING YOUR TV English Installation and important information Locate the television away from direct sunlight and strong lights, soft, indirect lighting is recommended for comfortable viewing. Use curtains or blinds to prevent direct sunlight falling on the screen.

7 INSTALLING YOUR TV English Remove the back cover to reveal the battery compartment and make sure the batteries are inserted the proper way. Suitable battery types for this remote are AAA, IEC R03 1.5V. Do not combine a used, old battery with a new one or mi x battery types.

9 CONNECTING YOUR TV English Connecting an HDMI ® or DVI device to the HDMI input The HDMI input on your te levision receiv es digital audio and uncompressed di gital video from an HDMI source device or uncompressed digital video from a DVI (Digital Visual Interface) source device.
10 CONNECTING Y OUR TV Englis h REGZA-LINK connection You can control the basic functions of connected audio/ video devices using the television’s remote contr ol if you connect a REGZA-LINK compatible AV amplifier or playback de vice. For an explanation of setup and operations, see pages 65–66.
11 CONNECTING YOUR TV English Connecting a computer With either an RGB/PC or an HDMI connection, you can watch your computer’s display on the television and hear the sound from the television’s speakers.
12 CONNECTING Y OUR TV Englis h Connecting a home network The LAN port allows your Toshiba TV to connect to your home network. You can use this revolutionary home entertainment networki ng system to access photo, video and audio files that are stored on a DLNA CERTIFIED™ server and play/display them on your TV.
13 CONNECTING YOUR TV English Controls and input connections A wide variety of external equipment can be connecte d to the input sockets on the side of the television. Whilst all the necessary adjustments and controls for the tele vision are made using th e remote control, the buttons on the televi sion may be used for some functions .
14 Englis h SETTING UP YOUR TV Startup Application Before switching on the television, put your decoder and media recorder, if appli cable, to Standby . To set up the television, use the buttons on the remote control as detailed on page 6. a Press the 1 button.
15 SETTING UP YOUR TV English m Use B or b to move through the list to select a channel, and then press Q to view. In ATV mode, some areas may receive duplicate stations. There may not be a clear picture or the signal may be weak, so the station order can be changed using ATV Manu al Tuni ng .

SUBTITLE SUBTITLE SUPER LIVE This setting will enlarge a 4:3 image to fit the scre en by stretching the image horizontally and vertically, holding better proportions at the centre of the image.
