IMPOR T ANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances , basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following: 1. Read all instructions . 2. Do not touch hot surfaces . Use handles or knobs . 3. T o protect against electrical hazards , do not immerse cord, plugs , or the appliance in water or other liquid.
POLARIZED PLUG T his appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way . If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
3. Swivel the Water Spreader to the left. F ill the P ermanent Coffee Filter with 2 – 3 tbsp . (30 - 45 ml) of ground coffee for ‘drip coffee mak ers’. Return the Water Spreader to its original position and close the Cover . 4. Plug unit into a 120 Volt A.
CARE AND CLEANING 1. Unplug unit and allow to cool. 2. Wipe Coffee Mak er with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleansers or scouring pads . 3. NEVER IMMERSE THE COFFEE MAKER IN WA TER OR ANY O THER LIQUID . 4. T he Mug and P ermanent F ilter can be removed and washed in warm soapy water , rinsed and dried.
A short supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards of becoming entangled in or tripping over a long cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use .
