IMPOR T ANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances , basic safety precautions should alw ays be followed including the following: 1. Read all instructions carefully before use . 2. T o protect against electrical hazards , do not immerse cord, plug or appliance in water or any other liquid or place in the dishw asher .
POLARIZED PLUG T his appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). T o reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one wa y . If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
BEFORE FIRST USE Using a soft cloth, dampened in warm soapy w ater , wipe the Cover , Grinding Chamber and outside of the Grinder to remove any oils left over from the manufacturing process . Rinse by wiping with a clean wet cloth. Dry . IMPOR T ANT : Be careful when wiping out the Grinding Chamber , the blade is sharp .
Coffee Beans T he Grinder will grind up to 50 grams (1.8 oz) of coffee beans at a time . T his is enough for approximately 10 cups of co ffee . Experimenting with the Grin der will enable you to get exactly the g rind you prefer for your coffee .
CARE AND CLEANING 1. Unplug from the wall outlet. 2. Wipe the Blades , Cover and Grinding Chamber with a damp cloth or paper towel to remove any excess ground coffee or spices . Use a small dry brush to help dislodge dry particles . NEVER IMMERSE THE GRINDER IN WA TER OR PLACE IN THE DISHWASHER.
A short supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards of becoming entangled in or tripping over a long cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use .
