Saber Safety Section 1-3 SAFETY DANGER! Never operate the Tractor or Implement until you have read and completely understand this Manual, the Tractor Operator’s Manual, and each of the Safety Messages found in the Manual or on the Tractor and Implement.
Saber Safety Section 1-4 SAFETY DANGER! Never allow children or other persons to ride on the Tractor or Implement. Falling off can result in serious injury or death. (SG-10) DANGER! Saber Safety Section 1-7 SAFETY DANGER! NEVER use drugs or alcohol immediately before or while operating the Tractor and Implement. Drugs and alcohol will affect an operator’s alertness and coordination and therefore affect the operator’s ability t o operate the equipment safely.
Saber Safety Section 1-8 SAFETY WARNING! Extreme care should be taken when operating near loose objects such as gravel, rocks, wire, and other debris. Inspect the area before mowing. Foreign objects should be removed from the site to prevent machine damage and/or bodily injury or even death.

ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-2 Before attempting to mount your Tiger mower , it is import ant to read an underst and all of the Safety Messages in the Safety section of this manual. Check complete shipment list against the p acking list to make sure there are no shortages.
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-3 FRONT PUMP MOUNTING Install the pump mounting bra cket on the front of the tractor with cap-screws a nd lock-washers as shown in the p arts section illustration. DO NOT tighten faste ners at this time. Slide the pump drive shaft int o the crankshaft adapter .
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-4 POL YCARBONA TE SAFETY WINDOW NOTE: Installing a boom mower re quires that all of the right side windows be re placed, or protected with a polycarbonate window . This should be done before mounting the main frame. 1. Disconnect gas shock at door .

ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-9 SWITCH BOX WIRING Refer to the Parts Section f or wiring diagrams. Remove top instrument p anel (tach, and hour meter) for access to the wires. Route the red and green switch box wires from the switch box to the bottom right corner of the instrument p anel near window .
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-10 WEA T HER-P ACK/METRI-P ACK ASSEMBL Y These instructions apply to both W eather-Pack and Metri-pa ck connectors. NOTE: Use the specific tool for the type of connecto r you are assembling.
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-11 IDENTIFYING TRACTOR HYDRAULIC SYSTEM The lif t valve uses the Pressure, Return and Load Sense on the tractors rear remotes. Depending on what tractor hydraulic syste m you have determines how the lift valve is plumbed .
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-12 For Open Center hydraulic systems, the li f t valve will need additional pressure. This pressure is taken from the Powe r S teering Return line which is located behind the battery box.
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-13 LOAD SENSE HOSE ROUTING - OPEN CENTER On a tractor with an Open Center system with Closed Center remotes, the lift valve uses the Pressure, Return and Load Sense on the tractors r ear remotes. The ports used are directly under the valve mounting plate a s shown below.
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-14 LOAD SENSE HOSE ROUTING - OPEN CENTER (CONTINUED) On a tractor with an Open Cent er system with O pen Center ports, the lif t valve uses the Pressure, Return and Power Beyo nd ports on the tractors rear remotes. The ports used are directly under the va lve mounting plate as shown below .
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-15 LIFT VALVE MOUNTING Drill a Ø9/16” hole in the fender frame tube of th e tractor 3/4 ” back o f the existin g hole (away from cab). Install the valve mounting bracket to the inside of the right and left rear fender frame tube as shown below and attach it with h ardware listed in the Parts Section of this manual.

ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-18 NEW HOLLAND PRIORITY VALVE USED ON DELTA & VALUE UNITS (DANFOSS) The DanFoss lift va lve needs a priority valve and the Delt a and V alue style tractor units need a NH priority valve plug in the tractor rear remotes for the proper hydraulic flow .
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-19 LIFT VALVE MOUNTING Drill a Ø9/16” hole in the fender frame tube of th e tractor 3/4 ” back o f the existin g hole (away from cab). Install the valve mounting bracket to the inside of the right and left rear fender frame tube as shown below and attach it with h ardware listed in the Parts Section of this manual.
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-20 LIFT V AL VE HOSE & CABLE ROUTING Attach two clamp s t o the right rear wheel well for proper hose/cable routing. Drill o ne hole for each clamp. Use the lower rear corner of the wheel well as a n origin for measuring.
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-21 BOOM JOYSTICK CONTROL CALIBRA TION (FOR SABER) SUB-D This Danfoss PVG32 control valv e is now equipped with hig her-resolution actuators on Main Boom, Secondary Boom, Deck Roll, and Swivel functio ns. These actuators have “active fault monitoring”.
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-22 Run tractor at normal operating RPM to ad just the settings as follows. Set the dead band compensation po tentiometer first. Set the dead band compen sation potentiometer at 50%, or halfway between full clockwise and full counter-clockwise.
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-23 MAIN BOOM: “A” Port, Boom UP: 7-9 Seconds (Note: Extend secondary boom completely; roll deck to be level with groun d, and lower main boom until deck is on ground. Now index main b oom “up” function and determine the time required for main boom to rise completely .

ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-25 SABER HOSE ROUTING WA R N I N G N O T E : The sudden release of hydraulic pressure could cause the sudden movement of very heavy p ar ts.
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-26 SABER HOSE ROUTING (CONTINUED) Arrange the hoses in the clamp th at att aches to the boom mounting bracket as sh own above, with the 1” motor hoses closest to the ma in fram e. Pull the hoses snug from the swivel to the main frame clamps, when main boom is fully forward, and tighten the hoses in the clamp.
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-27 (ASM-C-0023) SIDE HYDRAULIC T ANK INST ALLA TION Install all fitt ings and tubes into tank and t ank filter as shown in the Pa rt s Section illustration. Insert tank sight glass into front side of tank. Place the t ank in the mounting bracket on the main frame as shown in the Parts Section.
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-28 FILLING HYDRAULIC RESER VOIR Refer to the maintenance section for filling specifications and hydraulic oil requirements. NOTE: St arting or running your Tiger mowe r before filling reservoir will cause serious damage to hydraulic pump.
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-29 SOLENOID BRAKE V AL VE Install a solenoid valve on the mounting bracket with the supplied hardware as shown in the Parts Sectio n in this manual. While installing the fittings to the brake valve, the e lectical coil on the spool may have to be removed t o make room.
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-30 COOLER MOUNTING - SIDE T ANK Mount the cooler mounting bracket s on the top rear side of the side hydraulic tank. Locate the bolt plates on t he top of the tan k and secure the appropriate cooler bracket to the tank with the hardware provided.
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-31 AXLE BRACE MOUNTING The axle braces are to be mounted under the rear a xle of the tractor with spa cers. The other end of the right axle brace mounts to the out side of the lower rear corner of the main frame. After att aching the boom rest, it should fit tightly and level under the tractor .
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-32 DECK A TT ACHMENT Attach the head to the se condary boom using the pins and hardware shown in the Parts Section. Inst all the deck pivot cylinder using the p ins and hardware also shown in the Part s Section. Connect the fittings and hoses from the pivo t cylinder to the small preformed tubes on the boom arm.
ASSEMBL Y Assembly Section 2-33 4WD FRONT WHEEL ADJUSTMENT In order to prevent inte rferences with mounted equipm ent, the front wheels on a 4WD T6000 tractor will ha ve to be adjusted to be appr oximately 68” center to center distance (see illustra tion below).

T ractor brakes can be set to operate independently allowing sin gle rear wheel braking action or locked together to provide simult aneous rear wheel braking.
